Enviro Services International
Enviro Services International was founded in 1972 with the purpose to study and remediate contaminated places. With its headquarters in Livange / Luxembourg, the company lived its first major success with the involvement in the cleaning operations of the beaches after the shipwreck of the Amoco Cadiz in March 1978. History of netfutura:
In 1997 the team of today’s netfutura (now 15 employees) began consulting demanding corporate clients on the implementation of software systems – in particular in the field of “information management”.
Netfutura was founded in 2000, and its expertise forms a link between the two different disciplines of media design and system development. The netfutura team specialises in developing and operating webbased software systems.
On this basis, the company designs and develops demanding information and communication solutions for companies of varying sizes. Newly created interfaces often form the key for consolidating an existing heterogeneous system landscape.
In 2009, their new office in Luxembourg was created in order to better realise the stratetic planning of their long term project to create a network (see below).
netfutura is developing a toolkit of modularly designed software tools that are provided to netfutura’s partners and customers licence-free under the name ProMaTo® (Professional Management Tools).
By using products from the ProMaTo® software family companies can optimally structure their internal and external information processes and operate them more efficiently as a result. Certainly the most wellknown product is the Content Management System ProMaTo® CMS, currently available in version 3.8.
Project:
During 2008, netfutura develop the plan to create à co-operation network to promote the development of software systems free of licence cost. In september 2009, the netfutura project was one of the laureates of the 9th edition of the 1,2,3,Go Business Plan Contest.
The goal is to develop an EU-wide co-operation and competence network for the conjoint use, marketing and development of software systems free of licence costs. The various systems are provided via ASP (Application Service Providing) - neither the cooperation partners nor the clients have to meet any infrastructural preconditions. Minimal costs are incurred simply for maintaining ongoing systems operation.
The network partners are merged in the form of a European Cooperative Society (SCE). The aim of this society is to economically promote its members (partner companies).
In the first step, the netfutura's own software systems ProMaTo® will be integrated in the network and will be free of licence costs to all the networkpartner. Hence, all the partners in the netwrok will have the same technological basis.
