Passed: Medica

The Ministry of the Economy and Foreign Trade is organising a pavilion at this landmark event which has been held for the last 40 years. The 2009 Medica attracted almost 140,000 trade visitors (of whom 92% were medical experts) from over 100 countries. They were able to check out the latest goods and services on offer from around 4,300 exhibitors, many of which are brand new innovations.

The medical technology industry has come through the global financial and economic crisis comparatively unscathed as government investment programmes looked to boost demand by strengthening the infrastructure. Of particular interest to Luxembourg will be the allied Medica Vision, the innovation forum for research institutes.
